LOVE NORTH COLLINS - COMMUNITY WEEKEND

LOVE North Collins is a weekend event celebrating the wonderful town of North Collins and the people who serve it!  It is held on September the 13th (Friday) through the 15th (Sunday) with some very meaningful and fun events.  All events are open to everyone!  Come and celebrate!

Each event is held at the Marion-Fricano Town Park.  This park is found on Rt.62 heading south out of the Village of North Collins.  No event has a cost, although at many events there will be vendors selling food or goods.

The weekend will kickoff with a Bonfire, Friday Evening at the Town Park (7:30 to 9:00PM).  For the past two years, this has been a fantastic time of community connections, laughter, and fun!

There is no cost to this community event!  North Collins Wesleyan Church is providing the fire, s'mores, and water.  Feel free to bring other snacks or items to roast over the fire.

Saturday of Love North Collins

Saturday starts with community soccer and flag football games, held at the town park.  Come and cheer for our young people!

Then at 7PM, the Holy Spirit Catholic Church is hosting an Outdoor Movie in the Park.  The movie is still TBD, but this is always a great time.  Popcorn and water will be free, other snacks will be available for purchase.

Sunday starts at 10AM with a Community Worship Service.  This service will feature moments of prayer, Bible scripture reading, vibrant music, and a message from God's Word.  Worship music will be lead by the North Collins Wesleyan Praise Team and Pastor Justin Leininger will be delivering the message.  As with all services at North Collins Wesleyan Church - there is no cost or dress code.  Come as you are!  You are always welcome!

Following the service, NC Wesleyan will be providing a small free lunch.  After lunch, all are welcome to join in multiple service projects taking place in the area of the Town Park.  We encourage everyone to come prepared to serve in this meaningful and fun atmosphere.  Serving is a great way to give back to this community and to get to know others of our community better!

There are projects for all ages and abilities.  They include:

  • North Collins Cemetery clean-up.
  • Constructing new community gardens next to the Senior Building.
  • Painting park picnic tables.
  • Giving the town storage building a new clean look.
  • Repairing and clearing the park's nature trail.
  • And possibly starting the demolition for the parks future buildings.
